What languages do you speak and how did you come to speak them? I speak English and French. English is what I spoke with my family growing up, and I always went to English school. I learned French in school as well since I’m from Montreal. Speaking French was not an easy task for me and is still not as easy as speaking English. However, I am working on improving my french here at CLC with morning classes.
What languages would you like to learn/add to your repertoire? I would like to learn Japanese, even though I know it will be difficult and I doubt I will be able to speak it easily. I never considered trying to learn Japanese until I started working at CLC. After being exposed to the awesome Japanese people here, I feel inspired to try to learn their language.
What is your best travel story? My best travel story probably was when I went to South Africa. I went shark cage diving with great white sharks, and the place was nearly 7 hours away from where I was staying. My friends and I had to hire a sketchy driver to take us there and back, but it was totally worth it.
What is your side hustle? I don’t exactly have a real side hustle apart from relaxing and partying, but I am trying to learn how to sew because I am really into fashion. I would like to learn to make my own clothes, mainly Because I always get these visions in my head for outfits or items that I want, but I look everywhere and can never find them. So, hopefully soon I’ll be able to make them myself!
What is the one thing that most people don’t know about you? I think a lot of people don’t know that I am a vegetarian for both environmental and health reasons. I’ve been a vegetarian for more than three years. Not to say that I am extremely healthy (my favourite “food” is wine), but I think avoiding meat makes me feel better- physically and consciously.
