Looking for a restaurant in the Monkland Village that offers fresh food at affordable prices?
Thankfully, you don’t need to look much further from CLC. “Les Plats JusteCooked” is the brainchild of Nasr and Anastasia, the owners. The restaurant is quaint with rustic decor and a lovely terrace to boot. I started frequenting this restaurant about six months ago and instantly fell in love with the delicate aromas and unbelievably fresh food. To start, the owners offer three different meals of the day with a wide choice of healthy salads (my favourite is the quinoa broccoli one). Each main dish comes with a salad and a full meal is priced under 10 dollars. Definitely good value considering all the fresh ingredients. Additionally, the portion sizes are enormous so left-overs make for a delicious lunch the next day! The food influence is a Greek and Lebanese fusion. For example, one can eat delicious Lebanese Kefta and a piece of Spanakopita (Green spinach pie). The Mediterranean flavour combinations come to life!
Now, besides the awesome food, I almost forgot to mention the kindness of Nasr and Anastasia. They are incredibly welcoming and will ensure that everything is to your liking! It honestly feels like visiting family each time I walk into their establishment. Simply a wonderful place to visit.
Finally, CLC students and staff receive a 15% discount at “Les Plats JusteCooked.”
