Volunteering with Action Communiterre – A fun way to help out!

At CLC, we love taking part in volunteer events.  Volunteering is not only a great way to help your local community, but it’s also a great way to learn!  A fantastic example of this would be the work that Action Communiterre does with its inter-generational meals.

Once a week, students from CLC and staff from Action Communiterre meet to cook a meal with local seniors.  Our students are studying both English and French, so a this is a perfect chance to engage with local people, and get some good conversation time in!  Of course the varied backgrounds and nationalities of our students give them an advantage when it comes to connecting to people from all walks of life.

Sharing a meal?  It’s the best way to make new friends!
