Recently, we were honored to be part of MatsuriJapon for the 5th consecutive year. It is a festival (matsuri) about Japanese culture hosted annually by the Japanese Canadian Cultural Center of Montreal. Like every editions, many booths and activities were available and held that day: yukata (summer kimono) rental, games for kids, martial arts demonstration, music and dance showcase and of course food !
We were participating as a food kiosk where people could try our 4 different Japanese hot dogs:
-Regular (ketchup, mustard and/or relish)
–Wasabi (Japanese horseradish sauce and nori (seaweed))
–Kimchi (fermented spicy cabbage and mayonnaise)
-Okonomi (bonito flakes, pickled ginger, nori and okonomi sauce)
CLC Montreal is part of the local Japanese community and the food booth is one of our ways to fund our cultural activities for our students to explore and discover Montreal as a local. In case you missed our delicious J-Dog, follow our Facebook page to see when is the next event that we are participating in.
