Asian new year

As many of you know, it’s the Asian new year period right now.  To celebrate this occasion, French student Esther from Singapore and English student Jin Hee from Korea both shared traditional new year dishes from their respective countries.

1) Yu Sheng, a traditional Singaporean dish

Esther explained to us the ingredients in this salmon salad because each one has its own significance.

2) Dokkuk, a traditional Korean dish

Dokkuk is a soup that contains rice cake slices and dumplings.

Students helped out with the making of both dishes.  I wonder if they tried to recreate them at home for their families and friends to try too!
