Spanish teacher Mirelys from Venezuela recently taught us how to make arepas, which are essentially flat corn buns. They are simple to make and go with any kind of filling. We made avocado-lime chicken, ham & cheese, and tuna filling. Moreover, it’s an excellent gluten-free alternative to wheat bread! Meanwhile, a musician guest named Ian came to sing and play his guitar for us. He had one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard live!

Finally, this past weekend, a group of CLC students, friends, and staff members filled a yellow school bus to go to Oka for apple picking and honey tasting.
It was a cold day, but everyone had lots of fun!
