Our efforts to raise funds for the Red Cross’ Japanese earthquake relief continued this past week.
We hosted another Thrivabilty Montreal discussion on March 25, 2011. The topic was:“What if we think of leaders as hosts, responsible for stewarding the whole and enabling the fertile conditions for life to thrive?”
Aki, Megumi, Keiko and Chinatsu volunteered their time to make maki sushi appetizers and okonomiyaki for dinner during the conversation. All donations went to the Red Cross Japan Fund.
The next day, “Bake & Craft Sale for Japan” took place from 1pm to 5pm. The volunteers were once again, hard at work to make this another successful event. Thanks to them and everyone that came, $5081.99 for the Canadian Red Cross: Japan Relief Fund were raised.
Many products and services were available for sale, including baked goods, calligraphy art, nail art, French manicures, Japanese paper products, a massage booth, etc.
We even got to enjoy a special performance by violinist 迩花 Nika Cantabile!
