Fun stuff

Today’s the first returning day of our free language tea time, but in other recent news…

Galettes des rois

English student Anais and Japanese teacher Aki got together to make three “galettes des rois”, to celebrate that holiday where you eat almond paste pies with a tiny figurine baked inside.  Whoever that gets a piece with the figurine in it gets to wear a crown and select his/her queen/king so that the latter can also wear a crown too.

It was absolutely delicious, because the crust had the consistency of a croissant.  It was like eating an almond croissant!

Board games

This past Friday, we had our board games activity!  We played old school games, including Pictionary, Trivia Pursuit, Scattegories, and Jenga.  They were games that I grew up with, and brought from home.  Fun times, indeed.
